Gitte Kielberg is the artistic director and actor in all the performances. She was educated at Aarhus Theater Academy and was a part of the establishment of the theater group Kimbri in 1982. After a period of 6 years as an actress in Kimbri, she went to France and started with her husband an international theater center on a plateau in the Auvergne. The main objective of the theater was to create a cultural exchange with the local populations. After seven years, she returned to Denmark, took over Teatret Kimbri and began producing theater for children, who have the same immediacy and direct response as the population of the French highland. The characteristic of her artistic search is not only to challenge the theater, but also the content and function and let it be a frame around a meeting between people.
