POLAND

August 2010 Theatre Kimbri played The Raven in the Wertep International Theatre Festival in Poland.

In August 2011 Kimbri Played The Seal Woman in the same festival.

During these festival a creative cooperation grew between Kimbri and the organizers og the Wertep Festival: the A3 Theatre

We are planning a trilogy of yearly projects, the first one starting in Denmark August 2012:

Theatre on the Track is a tourney in horse wagons along the ancient Danish pilgims route called Haervejen.

During one month 4 intenational theatres from Danmark, France and Poland will travel through the countryside playing their performances in villages. During the travel a new cooperative performance will be created.

We are planning to continue working on this performance in France 2013 and in Poland 2014, where similar expeditions will happen along pilgim routes in these countries. (this is descibed in the menue item Upcoming projects).

Kimbri has been working together with Kapela Halas, www.halas.art.pl, during 20 years. In several projects we have played in the same performances, arranged tours for each other and made research in remote areas, searching for dances, songs, tunes and traditions.

Theatre Wegajty has organized tours and workshops for Kimbri in Poland and we have participated in their performance on the life of Holy Francis, November 2010.

FRANCE

Kimbri tours regularily in France and has close connexions to french theatres and artists after 7 years of residence in the highlands of Auvergne.

Next tour will happen in October 2011 where The Seal Woman will be played in Vichy.
